After the overturning of Roe v. Wade, it feels like we’re living inside one big horror film. And with predictions of November being “Roevember” regarding midterm elections, Halloween is the perfect lead up to speak to the high stakes of abortion rights. That’s why we created Stop The Horror, an initiative dedicated to fighting for the reproductive rights of all those who can become pregnant. We’ve taken six iconic horror movie posters and subverted them to show the real life horror of the attack on reproductive rights. By re-contextualizing them, we aim to highlight the consequences of these actions both digitally and on the streets of NYC. As these posters go live, we are calling people to visit stopthehorror.net to donate to Planned Parenthood and find out where to vote.
As a female-led and predominantly female-staffed agency, this initiative lives at the heart and soul of our business. There’s no better time than now to stand up for what’s ours. Our bodies. Our rights. Our voices.
It’s time to Stop The Horror.
